The New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women (NB ACSW) issued a press release in response to Premier McKenna’s policy on abortion. They argued that the policy kept in place many of the restrictions that had prompted the Supreme Court to rule s. 251 of the Criminal Code unconstitutional. NB ACSW called on the province to acknowledge that abortion was the choice of the individual pregnant woman, and to remove unnecessary delays. |
