The Canadian Association for the Repeal of the Abortion Laws (CARAL) was founded by pro-choice feminists including Norma Scarborough, June Callword, Kay Macpherson, Lorna Grant, Eleanor Wright Pelrine and Esther Greenglass. Along with Dr. Morgentaler, CARAL campaigned against the restrictions of the Therapeutic Abortion Committee (TAC) system.
