Alward’s Conservative government abolished the Advisory Council on the Status of Women in the 2011 provincial budget. They decided to absorb the tasks of the NB ACSW into an internal branch of the government. Members of the NB ACSW launched a campaign to reverse the decision, but they were unsuccessful. |
