Dr. Ward Murdock, President of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, and CEO Dr. Jennifer Blake, wrote to Minister of Health Hugh (Ted) Flemming to express their “great disappointment” about the closure of the Fredericton Morgentaler Clinic. They chastised the government for continuing to make abortion less accessible in New Brunswick and urged them to fund the clinic and to remove the regulations which required patients to jump through additional hoops to access an abortion.
