October 2nd, 1989

 

A small group of members of the clergy held an anti-abortion protest outside of the Moncton City Hospital. Prior to the Supreme Court of Canada’s overturning of the 1969 abortion law, Moncton City Hospital provided two-thirds of the province’s abortions. It was, therefore, a frequent target for the anti-abortion movement in New Brunswick.
